KEN AND BARBIE GET MARRIED - IN PICTURES

Please don't judge me for posting this but I got a chuckle out of it and thought you may too. Since everyone is talking about celebrity or royal weddings I wanted to contribute to the pile. Last we heard of Barbie and Ken (I know, even typing it hurts me) they split up for good but evidently they not only got back together but now they are hitched and here are the images! Ken used to be blonde though, right?

The images see Ken preparing for his big day much like my brothers Texan wedding in May, only he didn't wear a pink bow-tie like Ken here. The whole series is actually pretty cool if you consider the work it took to make it a modern day hip wedding. Good fun but something tells me I need to have a beer now, or something redeeming.

MUST SEE: DANCING WITH LANVIN 2011 CAMPAIGN

This is a good way to start a day off. Bet you didn't expect Alber Elbaz dancing with a selection of models in his fine gear. This fun and awkwardly choreographed video is genius and you should check it out below. This is said to be the work of Steven Meisel who filmed a similar video for Prada this year too.

Q. I want to wear a man-bag but I feel so awkward. What should I do?

A: The thing about pockets is that they only carry so much without the unwanted saddle bulge. You could just carry your stuff around in your hands, but that doesn't really work either. Now if only there was some way you could hold your stuff, in something, and maybe hang it from your shoulder. I'll let you mull that one over for a sec while I ask what the problem is for a man to carry a bag? Sure you can joke and can call it a man-bag but in the end isn't it just a bag for a man?

Headed by Thais Rossiter the clothing started out with 'tacky' prints and T-shirts but has since matured into a more modern look. More collegiate inspired campaigns. This time H&aM bring you denim, tee's and the increasingly popular varsity jacket in their fall/winter 2011/12 collection featuring Simon Nessman. With all these plans to bring in Zara (November 10 2011) and Topshop we can only hope it won't be too long before H&M opens on our shores. I think of out of the three it has the greatest chances of doing well as it reaches a wider market. 2012? Let's hold thumbs.

The September Issue
